I’m from the midwest so summer means cold beer and barbecue sauce. Babe makes amazing barbecue sauce. Technically, it’s more like be improves existing sauce. The things that man can do to a bottle of barbecue sauce ought to be banned in several countries. Unfortunately, I can’t share that recipe with you. He’d burn me at the stake. Just choose your favorite sauce and get to work.
Combine all the ingredients and marinate the shrimp for at least 30 minutes.
Fire up the grill while you skewer the shrimp. If you used wooden skewers, soak ’em for a bit to avoid flare-ups on the grill.
Once all the shrimp is on skewers, get to grilling!
- 1 pound large shrimp
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1 tbs honey
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Whisk together all the ingredients. Pour half the mixture over shrimp. Set the other half aside for dipping. Marinate shrimp for at least 30 minutes. Add shrimp to skewers and grill for about 4 minutes on each side. Serve immediately.
