Well Happy Friday beautiful people. This week I was pulled in a so many directions. My brain was full of so many things that when it came time so sit and write, I completely drew a blank. I decided it was time to pause and hit the reset button. Thank goodness Spring is upon us. Spring is the perfect time for a fresh start. Check in on that resolution you made three months ago. And what about the beach body you promised to get a get a head start on? Spring that clock forward and get to work!

To get you started, here are musings from my last trip down the click hole:

I can’t wait to try Scott Conant’s Tomato Basil and Oregano Roasted Snapper. Bright red tomatoes and fresh herbs make for a dish that’s just as pleasing to the eyes as it is to your palate. And if you 86 the potatoes, you can enjoy it without totally derailing that 30 Day Ab Challenge.

My kitchen is in desperate need of a do over. In preparation for the overhaul, I’ve been perusing Houzz for ideas, like this gorgeous white kitchen by Drury Design.

The olive drab and cargo look is my latest style crush. The look is far more exciting than the name suggests and Glam Radar gives some great tips for how to pull it off. A structured jacket paired with a soft feminine dress makes military chic look effortlessly cool.

SXSW kicks off this weekend so I’d be remiss not mention a few noteworthy happenings…namely THIS. And THIS.

My version of a Spring reset includes revisiting my mindfulness practice, which usually includes a short daily meditation and yoga a few days a week. The hardest part is sticking to the routine. But once I get going, I’ve found it really helps me with staying focused and keeping perspective when life gets crazy. How to Train a Wild Elephant: And Other Adventures in Mindfulness is my go-to resource for all things mindfulness.  I also tried out this little app called Calm – it offers some guided meditation and background tracks for when you’re ready to go at it alone.
